A graduate from the University of Nebraska, College of Medicine, Division of Physical Therapy, Bob has spent the majority of his career in the area of orthopedic and sports medicine. He has worked with athletes from the levels of Little League to the professionals especially the NBA. Bob spent three years as a medical officer in the United States Air Force until resigning his commission as a Captain. During that time he was stationed at the largest hospital in the Department of Defense for the Air Force and worked with active duty personnel from around the globe.

Bob achieved his certification as an athletic trainer 1980 and volunteered many hours as the ATC for the local high schools as well as being instrumental in attaining full time jobs for ATC’s in the Peoria and Deer Valley school districts. Bob is also one of our clinic’s Vestibular Disorders Specialists.

Marissa graduated in 1995 and worked as a Certified Recreation Therapist specializing in neurological disorders at Barrows Neurological Institute. Her desire to learn more about helping people with their mobility caused her to pursue a doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University in 2004. Marissa is also trained in the following areas: kinesiotape, cupping, electrical stimulation to increase stability and promote normalized movement, as well as decrease pain and localized swelling. Emphasizes on functional strengthening to assist patient’s optimal health to return to daily functional activities, work and hobbies. Collin is a Physical Therapist and Athletic Trainer who moved to Phoenix, AZ about a year ago! He grew up in Virginia and spent the past year in Phoenix cutting his teeth as a physical therapist. As a lifelong multi-sport athlete (basketball, baseball, golf), his passion for rehab and sports performance stems from his own recovery experiences. He loves recreational sports and have developed a strong love for golf over the past decade. He enjoys sports, traveling, spending time with friends and family, and various outdoor activities! Collin graduated from The University of Virginia (Go Hoos!) with a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology and a Master’s in Athletic Training and then earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Virginia Commonwealth University. From his first significant injury, he knew he wanted to help others achieve their full potential in sports and life. He specialize in post-operative cases, return to sport cases, throwers, and golfers.

Stacy graduated from McLennan Community College in Waco, Texas–getting his Associate of Arts and an Associate of Applied Science in the Physical Therapist Assistant program. He has also been a Certified Personal Trainer through the Texas Board of Physical Therapy since 2000. Stacy was the Organizing Chair for the 5th International Conference on Evidence Based Aquatic Therapy (ICEBAT US) in Las Vegas, NV 2018. Stacy has taken over 500 hours of continuing education in aquatic specialization. He has received certifications in Halliwick® Aquatic Therapy/Water Specific Therapy® (HAT/WST), The Bad Ragaz Ring Method® (BRRM), and Clinical Ai Chi® (CAC) through the International Aquatic Therapy Faculty (IATF). He became one of the first Aquaticists in America, and one the first Geriatric Aquaticist (GAq) in the world in 2013 through Aquatic Therapy University. Stacy joined Oakeson Physical Therapy as head aquatic therapist, and to share his expertise with our patients and community

Heaven is a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator who brings compassion, organization, and a calm presence to every interaction. As the oldest of four siblings, she has naturally grown into a supportive and dependable role. Skills that carry over into how I care for patients and work with my team. She truly enjoys helping people feel heard, cared for, and comfortable. When She is not at work, you’ll most likely find her spending time with my family, which is my greatest source of joy and balance.

Amber is the Office Manager at Modern Peoria clinic, where she help keep everything running smoothly and make sure each patient feels seen, supported, and cared for. She loves being part of a team that helps people get back on their feet —literally and figuratively. Outside the office, She is a proud mom and wife who finds peace in the desert. Whether it’s hiking through Arizona trails, chasing sunsets over red rock, or just enjoying quiet moments under big skies, nature is where she recharges. She is all about family adventures, good coffee, sunshine and making space for joy—both at work and at home

Jackson is a NAU graduate with a Fitness and Wellness Degree and he is also a certified exercise physiologist. He grew up in Goodyear AZ, loves anything to do with lifting weights at the gym, cars, and video games. His future plans are to go to the NAU Physical Therapy school starting in 2026.

Nicole is originally from Michigan. She received her bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Grand Valley State University. She later completed her Master’s degree in Sports Health Care from A.T. Still University. Eventually returning to complete her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from A.T. Still University. She has been working as a PA in sports medicine and orthopedic surgery for over 13 years now! Nicole has been married to her husband, James, for over 20 years. They have two children, a boy and a girl, as well as a 14 year old mutt named Jellybean.

Kristen Braccio is a dedicated Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist originally from Florida. She earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, one of the nation’s leading programs in movement science and rehabilitation.

Kristen is certified through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and specializes in the evaluation and treatment of pelvic floor and women’s health conditions. She is experienced in treating a wide range of pelvic health concerns, including pelvic pain, incontinence, postpartum recovery, and other common pelvic floor dysfunctions.

With a compassionate and evidence-based approach, Kristen is passionate about helping her patients restore confidence, comfort, and quality of life through individualized care.
