The Journey Begins
Your body is already beginning an extraordinary process, even though there may not be any obvious changes yet. Pregnancy often starts long before it feels real.
Baby at Week 1
Technically, pregnancy is measured from the first day of your last menstrual period. While conception has not yet occurred, your body is beginning the hormonal changes that prepare for ovulation and support a future pregnancy. This week lays the groundwork for everything to come.
Why You May Not Feel Different Yet
Many women notice little to no change during Week 1. Behind the scenes, however, hormones are beginning to shift and your body is preparing the environment needed to support a developing baby. The absence of symptoms does not mean nothing is happening.
Common During Week 1
Small Things That May Help
Start building a hydration habit. Even a little extra water now can support energy levels and help your body adjust to changing demands. This is also a great time to focus on consistent, nourishing meals and gentle movement.
Support During Pregnancy
Pregnancy-focused physical therapy is not only for pain. Many women benefit from support with posture, breathing mechanics, movement strategies, pelvic floor awareness, and overall comfort as pregnancy progresses.
