Week 11 Pregnancy

The Fog May Be Starting to Lift

This week, baby continues growing rapidly, and for some women, the fog of the first trimester slowly begins to lift.

Not everyone feels better yet—and that's okay. Your body is still working incredibly hard.

You may notice small changes in energy, appetite, or simply feeling a little more like yourself again. Or not. Both experiences are completely valid.

Baby at Week 11

This week, baby is about the size of a fig and continues to grow rapidly. Facial features are becoming more defined, tiny fingers and toes are fully separated, and important growth continues throughout the brain, nervous system, and major organs.

Although there is still plenty of development ahead, many of the foundational structures that began forming in early pregnancy are becoming more established.

Why You Feel So Different Right Now

For some women, the intense symptoms of early pregnancy begin easing around this time. Energy may slowly improve, nausea may become less frequent, and daily activities may start feeling a little easier.

For others, symptoms remain just as strong. Fatigue, nausea, food aversions, and emotional ups and downs can still be very much present during Week 11.

There is no right or wrong way to experience this stage of pregnancy. Every body adapts on its own timeline.

Small Things That May Help

If energy allows, try a short walk after a meal. Gentle movement can support circulation, digestion, and overall comfort.

Even a few minutes of movement can be beneficial, and it may help you feel more connected to your body as it continues adapting to pregnancy.

Support During Pregnancy

Pregnancy-focused physical therapy is not only for pain. Many women benefit from support with posture, breathing mechanics, movement strategies, pelvic floor awareness, and overall comfort as pregnancy progresses.
