Week 8 Pregnancy

Growth Is Happening Every Day

This week, baby is developing tiny arms and legs, and important growth continues every day.

At the same time, your body is managing major hormonal shifts. Fatigue, breast tenderness, bloating, and emotional ups and downs are all common right now.

If things feel harder than expected, there's a reason. Pregnancy asks a lot of your body early on.

Baby at Week 8

This week, baby is about the size of a raspberry. Tiny arms and legs continue developing, and fingers and toes are beginning to take shape. Facial features are becoming more defined, and important growth is happening throughout the brain, heart, and other developing organs.

Although baby is still very small, the pace of development remains remarkable. New structures are forming every day as the foundations for future growth continue to strengthen.

Why You Feel So Different Right Now

Hormone levels remain elevated as your body works to support pregnancy. These hormonal shifts affect nearly every system in the body and can influence energy levels, digestion, mood, and overall comfort.

Fatigue, breast tenderness, bloating, nausea, and emotional ups and downs are all common during Week 8. If symptoms feel stronger than expected, it does not mean anything is wrong. It is often a sign of the tremendous amount of work your body is doing behind the scenes.

Pregnancy asks a lot of your body early on, even when the changes aren't yet visible to others.

Small Things That May Help

Take two minutes for slow, deep breathing today. A few steady breaths can help reduce tension, encourage relaxation, and reconnect you to your body.

Even brief moments of intentional breathing can provide a reset during a day that feels physically or emotionally demanding.

Support During Pregnancy

Pregnancy-focused physical therapy is not only for pain. Many women benefit from support with posture, breathing mechanics, movement strategies, pelvic floor awareness, and overall comfort as pregnancy progresses.

You Are Stronger Than You Think

You don't have to feel strong every moment to be strong.

Some days may feel easier than others, and that is okay. Pregnancy is a process of constant adaptation, and your body is working hard every single day.

Your body is building something remarkable—and adapting every step of the way.
