Your Body Is Rebuilding
By now, many women start wondering: 'Why do I still feel so different?'
There's a reason.
Your abdominal muscles have stretched, posture has changed, sleep is limited, and your body is still recovering from pregnancy and birth.
Feeling weak, disconnected, or unlike yourself right now is incredibly common. That does not mean recovery is going poorly. It means recovery is still happening.
What Your Body Is Doing Right Now
Three weeks postpartum is still early in recovery. Your core, pelvic floor, breathing muscles, and posture are all adjusting after months of pregnancy and the demands of birth.
Many women notice they feel disconnected from their body, weaker than expected, or frustrated by how different movement feels. These experiences are common and do not mean something is wrong.

Small Things That May Help
Take one minute today for slow breathing. Let your ribs expand as you inhale and gently soften your belly as you exhale.
Small reconnections matter. Breathing can help improve awareness of your core, reduce tension, and support recovery.
Support During Postpartum Recovery
Pelvic floor physical therapy can help support healing after birth by addressing recovery, movement, pelvic floor function, core rehabilitation, bladder and bowel concerns, scar mobility, and return to exercise.
