Halfway There
You're halfway through pregnancy. Take a second to appreciate that.
This week, baby is growing quickly, movement may become more noticeable, and your body is continuing to adapt in powerful ways.
As your belly grows, posture naturally shifts and muscles in the hips, core, and back begin working differently. You may notice pressure, new aches, or feeling less comfortable in positions that used to feel easy.
Baby at Week 20
This week, baby is about the size of a banana and continues growing steadily. Movements are becoming stronger and more coordinated, making them easier for many women to feel on a regular basis.
Important development continues throughout the brain, nervous system, and sensory systems. Each week brings new growth as baby becomes increasingly active and responsive.
Why You Feel So Different Right Now
As your belly grows, your body naturally adapts to changing demands. Your center of gravity shifts, posture adjusts, and muscles throughout the hips, core, and back begin working differently to provide support and stability.
These changes can sometimes lead to new sensations, including pressure, stiffness, mild aches, or positions that simply feel less comfortable than they once did. This does not mean something is wrong—it reflects the ongoing adaptations of pregnancy.
Your body is constantly adjusting to support both you and your growing baby.

Small Things That May Help
Take a five-minute walk after a meal if it feels good. Gentle movement often helps energy, stiffness, circulation, and overall comfort.
Movement does not need to be intense to be beneficial. Small, consistent habits can help support your body through the changes of pregnancy.
Support During Pregnancy
Pregnancy-focused physical therapy is not only for pain. Many women benefit from support with posture, breathing mechanics, movement strategies, pelvic floor awareness, and overall comfort as pregnancy progresses.
