Trust What Your Body Has Already Done
You are getting close.
This week, your body continues preparing for labor in quiet, powerful ways. Hormones are shifting, tissues are adapting, and baby is getting ready too.
You may notice cramping, pressure, interrupted sleep, or a strong urge to organize absolutely everything. (Hello, nesting.)
Sometimes the waiting feels exciting. Sometimes uncomfortable. Sometimes emotional. All of it belongs here.
Baby at Week 39
This week, baby continues preparing for birth while gaining the final bits of strength and maturity needed for life outside the womb. Important development continues even in these last days of pregnancy.
While growth has slowed compared to earlier weeks, baby is still benefiting from every day spent preparing for the transition ahead.
Why You Feel So Different Right Now
As labor approaches, your body continues making subtle but important changes. Hormones help tissues adapt, your pelvis continues preparing for birth, and your body is constantly adjusting to support both you and your baby.
You may notice cramping, pelvic pressure, interrupted sleep, increased fatigue, emotional shifts, or a strong desire to organize and prepare. These experiences are incredibly common in the final days and weeks of pregnancy.
Waiting can be challenging, but your body is not standing still. Preparation is happening every day.

Small Things That May Help
Take a short walk or gentle movement break today if your body feels up for it. Small movement can sometimes ease stiffness and tension.
Gentle movement may help support circulation, comfort, and mobility while giving you a chance to reconnect with your body during this waiting period.
Support During Pregnancy
Pregnancy-focused physical therapy is not only for pain. Many women benefit from support with posture, breathing mechanics, movement strategies, pelvic floor awareness, labor preparation, and overall comfort as pregnancy progresses.
