More Prepared Than You Think
Forty weeks. Pause for a moment and appreciate what your body has carried, adapted to, and created.
This week, baby is ready to meet you—and your body continues preparing in ways both visible and invisible.
You may feel excited. Impatient. Emotional. Ready. Not ready. All of those feelings are welcome here.
If labor hasn't started yet, it does not mean your body is behind. Pregnancy timelines are deeply individual.
Baby at Week 40
Your baby is considered full term and ready to meet you. While development is largely complete, your baby continues benefiting from the final days of growth, preparation, and transition before birth.
Every pregnancy follows its own timeline, and babies arrive when both they and their bodies are ready for the next chapter.
Why You Feel So Different Right Now
At forty weeks, both your body and your mind are carrying the weight of anticipation. Physical discomfort, interrupted sleep, pelvic pressure, emotional ups and downs, and the uncertainty of waiting can all feel especially intense.
It is common to wonder when labor will begin or to question whether your body is doing what it should be doing. The truth is that labor preparation often happens quietly and gradually.
If labor has not started yet, it does not mean your body is behind. Pregnancy timelines are deeply individual.
