What problems bring people into therapy here?

How does therapy really help after surgery?

Surgery fixes one problem but leaves others. Joints stiff. Muscles are weaker than before. Therapy builds them back. At Modern Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine of Surprise, AZ, we focus on safe progress so you get moving again.

When do results usually show up?

Depends. Some patients notice after a couple of visits. Others need weeks. The thing is, progress doesn’t always look the same. Sometimes it’s less stiffness, sometimes it’s being able to do a small task you couldn’t do before.

Can therapy mean less medication?

Yes, a lot of the time. As strength comes back and movement improves, the pain doesn’t hang around as much. That means less reaching for pills. At Surprise, this is one of the biggest benefits patients notice.

Is therapy safe for older adults?

Yes. Sessions are adjusted for safety. Balance training, light strength, mobility drills. At Surprise, we don’t push past what’s safe, but we push enough so results actually stick.
