OVERVIEW
ABOUT Spinal Rehab
Spinal pain can make you act cautiously all day. You move more slowly in the morning. You avoid lifting anything that feels awkward. You sit down to rest, then standing back up feels worse. Even a simple thing like putting on shoes can feel like a hassle.
Some people get a sharp jab that stops them in place. Others feel a steady ache that builds, plus tingling or pain that runs into a leg or arm. It can mess with sleep and make driving feel like a punishment. At Modern Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine of Goodyear, AZ, spinal rehab keeps the focus on what you need for real life. We help you move with more control so your routine feels less stressful.

We narrow down what triggers pain and what calms it. We check how you sit, stand, bend, and walk, plus spine and hip motion. If symptoms travel, we also check strength and nerve signs.
TREATMENTS
CUSTOM TREATMENT PROGRAM
Treatment matches what your body can handle that day. We work on mobility, core control, and strength using movements you use at home and at work. You leave with a short home plan that feels doable.

I recently moved to Arizona from Connecticut, where I spent six months being treated for my ulnar nerve/elbow injury. In just two sessions, Mariah Craycroft has helped me more than I experienced during those six months. I’m finally seeing real progress and couldn’t be more grateful. I highly recommend her to anyone dealing with a similar injury.

Answering Your Questions
Why does it hurt more when I get out of the car?
Car seats often push your hips into a tight position. Then you stand up and your back has to do the work. We show you a simple way to get out of the car and loosen up fast.
What if I cannot find a comfortable sleeping position?
That is frustrating and common. We talk through how you sleep, then we try small changes like pillow support and side to side set ups. We also give you a short routine for nights when you wake up stiff.
Is it bad to crack my back?
A little popping is not always a problem. The bigger issue is when you rely on it for relief and keep bracing the rest of the day. We focus on movement and strength so you do not need to chase that quick reset.
Can I keep working out while my back hurts?
In many cases, yes, but you may need to adjust the plan. We help you pick safer moves and scale down load and range. Then you build back up without setting off a flare.
What should I do when a flare starts?
Do less, but do not freeze. Change positions, take a short walk, and use your drills at an easy level. Calming it early usually beats pushing through.
