OVERVIEW
ABOUT Vertigo
Vertigo can turn simple moments into stress. You glance up from your phone, and the room sways. You lean down to load the washer, and a spin catches you. It may last a few seconds. It may linger and leave you feeling drained.
At Modern Medicine of Goodyear, AZ, we help people manage vertigo every week. Some cases start after a sinus issue or a bad cold. Others show up after a minor fall, a long week of poor sleep, or weeks of neck tightness. Many clients never get a clear answer on the trigger. Therapy helps your balance system settle, so turning, bending, and walking feel normal again.
BOOKING APPOINTMENTS
Call the clinic or schedule online. We will explain how the first visit works and what to bring. Wear clothes that let you move easily and bring any notes from your doctor. If you have any questions, we can answer those, too.

Most clients start with one or two visits per week. Early sessions stay gentle so symptoms do not spike. We work on easing dizziness and building tolerance to everyday motion. As you feel steadier, we space out visits.
DIAGNOSE
EXAM & IMAGING
We start by getting specific. Do you feel spinning, rocking, or lightheadedness? Does it hit when you roll in bed, look up, or walk through busy stores? We test balance and watch your eyes during small head movements. We also check neck motion and posture when tightness shows up.
TREATMENTS
CUSTOM TREATMENT PROGRAM
Treatment stays calm and step-by-step. If an inner ear pattern shows up, we guide precise head and body movements that can reduce spinning. If your system needs retraining, we use short drills that link eye focus with head turns.
FOLLOW UP
WE CALL TO CHECK IN
Each session starts with a quick check-in. We review how often dizziness shows up and what triggers it this week. We recheck the balance and add a challenge only when you are ready. That might mean faster turns, uneven surfaces, or walking while scanning left and right.

Office was very welcoming from the moment you walked into the office, Marissa and Kelsey were there to greet me. They know all of their patients and treat them like family. Dr. Dault was AMAZING. SHE listened and really searched to find the answers to my pain. Eric was very thorough when doing my ultrasound to diagnose my issue. Their recommendations helped me and in the end my pain decreased! Thank you to the entire team!

I was in a pretty dark place before starting at the Chandler location. My low back pain was completely debilitating and affecting the quality of my life for many years. I saw Phil once a week for 6 weeks and feel stronger and more confident than I have in many, many years. Phil explained the results of my MRI in great detail and answered my questions (as trivial as they might have been) with respect and understanding... I have been to many physical therapists before and the results I got here were the best. I highly recommend the Chandler location and will go back again if I ever need to!

Where do I start with the praise for this Team of miracle workers... I had suffered from chronic lower back pain for the last 8 years due to 32 years of golf and upper back pain due to 13 years of sitting at a desk. I utilized a chiropractor for the past 7 years but the pain ALWAYS came back and I NEVER got better. One visit with Dr. Josh and two X-rays showed the problem was stemming from my foot and a collapsing arch—which my previous chiropractor NEVER took the time to explore and diagnose.

What Are You Experiencing?
You may not know specifically what type of treatment you would require. What you do know is that you hurt, and right now that’s really what is most important. To better know how to serve you, please take a few minutes to fill out this brief form describing the discomfort or pain you are experiencing. With a clearer idea, we will contact you to discuss what may be occurring and how we may be able to assist.
LOW HIGH
SEVERE PAIN
If you are experiencing severe pain that is not intolerable, don’t wait. Call 911 or proceed directly to your nearby hospital. When the emergency is treated, we will then be prepared to work together to assist you in gaining longer-term relief.
MODERATE PAIN / DISCOMFORT
Maybe your pain isn’t keeping you back, but it is making daily living a bit harder than it has to be. If it’s sharp, annoying, or keeps coming back, let us know what you’re dealing with. We can start together to investigate why it’s happening and how we can make it better.
MINOR PAINS & ACHES
Minor aches may not seem significant, but sometimes they are your body’s way of telling you it needs a helping hand. The stiffness, soreness, or occasional pains are great things to bring to our attention. Let us know what you’ve been experiencing, and we’ll point you in the direction of care that prevents small issues from turning into large ones.

Answering Your Questions
Why do I feel fine, then dizzy out of nowhere?
It can feel random, and that part is scary. A lot of people notice flares after a short night of sleep, a stressful day, or a long stretch without water or food. Bright lights and busy aisles can set it off, too. We track the pattern with you, so it makes sense.
Is it normal to feel tired after a vertigo episode?
Yes, and it can be a deep kind of tired. Your brain spends a lot of energy trying to keep you upright when signals do not match. That effort adds up fast. We pace treatment so you do not leave wiped out. As your balance system calms down, that “post-episode crash” usually eases.
What if I get dizzy during the exam?
That is common, and you will not be the first person it happens to. We set you up safely, and we move in small steps. We take breaks, and we give you time to settle. If it spikes, we stop. The point is to learn what triggers symptoms, not to push you through a bad spell.
Do home drills really matter?
They matter more than most people expect. Think of them like practice reps for your balance system. A few minutes a day can help your brain trust motion again. If a drill feels too strong, we scale it down. If it feels too easy, we build it up. You should feel worked, not wrecked.
What can I do right after I wake up?
Mornings can be rough, so keep the first minute calm. Roll to your side, sit up, then pause before standing. Take one slow breath and let your eyes settle on a fixed point. Then stand and make your first turns in small steps.
