PELVIC FLOOR PHYSICAL THERAPIST
Kelly is a physical therapist specializing in pelvic floor and orthopedic rehab. She graduated from Northern Arizona University with her doctorate and started her career primarily in orthopedics, with emphasis on sports and post-surgical rehab. Kelly was a competitive swimmer for 10 years before dislocating her knee. This ended her athletic career but, on the bright side, got her interested in therapy!
Kelly is always looking to grow in her field, learn new techniques, and help her patients return back to an active lifestyle. She understands that every client has individual needs and goals which requires a clinician that listens and creates a specific plan. Kelly is extremely compassionate about guiding patients through their healing journeys and allowing them to regain confidence and live a pain-free life. Outside of the clinic she enjoys weightlifting, sitting on the beach and watching movies with her wiener dog.

OVERVIEW
The pelvic floor isn’t one muscle. It’s a group that works with your hips, core, and even your breathing. When those muscles don’t work together, daily life gets harder. We look at how you move, how you breathe, where you carry tension, and which areas feel weak. Then we build a plan that fits your body. It may be slow strength work, light mobility, relaxation strategies, or simple adjustments to daily habits. Nothing complicated. Nothing rushed. We talk through everything so you always know what’s happening.
BOOKING APPOINTMENTS
You can call Modern Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine of Phoenix, AZ, or book online. Our staff explains the first visit in plain language so you don’t walk in feeling unsure or nervous.
SCHEDULE
REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT
Most people need several sessions. They’re spaced in a way that lets your body settle, adjust, and keep moving forward without overwhelm.
DIAGNOSE
EXAM & IMAGING
Your therapist watches how you breathe, how your hips move, how your core reacts, and how your body handles small tasks. Pelvic floor problems rarely come from one single place. We look at the whole system so your plan makes sense.
TREATMENTS
CUSTOM TREATMENT PROGRAM
Treatment depends on what your body needs most. Some people need more strength. Some need the opposite. You might work on hip control, breath patterns, or releasing muscles that hold tension all day. As things shift, we adjust the plan. Nothing stays static.
FOLLOW UP
WE CALL TO CHECK IN
Follow-ups help us see what’s changing and what still needs attention. We keep checking in, adjusting, and making sure you’re moving at a pace that feels safe.

Office was very welcoming from the moment you walked into the office, Marissa and Kelsey were there to greet me. They know all of their patients and treat them like family. Dr. Dault was AMAZING. SHE listened and really searched to find the answers to my pain. Eric was very thorough when doing my ultrasound to diagnose my issue. Their recommendations helped me and in the end my pain decreased! Thank you to the entire team!

I was in a pretty dark place before starting at the Chandler location. My low back pain was completely debilitating and affecting the quality of my life for many years. I saw Phil once a week for 6 weeks and feel stronger and more confident than I have in many, many years. Phil explained the results of my MRI in great detail and answered my questions (as trivial as they might have been) with respect and understanding... I have been to many physical therapists before and the results I got here were the best. I highly recommend the Chandler location and will go back again if I ever need to!

Where do I start with the praise for this Team of miracle workers... I had suffered from chronic lower back pain for the last 8 years due to 32 years of golf and upper back pain due to 13 years of sitting at a desk. I utilized a chiropractor for the past 7 years but the pain ALWAYS came back and I NEVER got better. One visit with Dr. Josh and two X-rays showed the problem was stemming from my foot and a collapsing arch—which my previous chiropractor NEVER took the time to explore and diagnose.

Answering Your Questions
What problems can pelvic floor rehab help with?
A wide range. Leaking during movement. Pressure that makes standing or walking uncomfortable. Pain with sitting. Core weakness that shows up during lifting. Even discomfort after childbirth or surgery.
Can men benefit from pelvic floor rehab?
Yes. Men deal with pelvic floor tension, weakness, and coordination problems too. The approach is different, but the process works for both men and women.
Why do these issues start?
Sometimes childbirth. Sometimes posture or long sitting. Sometimes stress. Sometimes age. And sometimes no clear reason at all. At Modern Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine of Phoenix, AZ, we figure out what your body is doing now and work from there.
Is the process uncomfortable?
Most people expect it to be, but it’s usually gentle. You choose what you’re comfortable with. We explain each step before we do anything. Comfort comes first here.
How long until I feel improvement?
It depends. Some people feel change within a few visits. Others take more time. Improvement looks different for everyone. Less pressure. Fewer leaks. Better control. More confidence in your body.
"Our goal is to help you solve some of your most painful life experiences."
