Feel More Supported and Prepared
During Pregnancy
The third trimester hits differently than you expected. Or maybe it started in the second. Your back tightens up on the drive to work. You get up to use the bathroom at two in the morning and getting back into a comfortable position takes ten minutes. Simple stuff starts requiring a plan. At Modern Medicine of Phoenix, AZ, we help you figure out what is worth addressing and actually do something about it.

Pregnancy Changes Your Body. Pain Should Not Run The Show
Most women get brushed off when they bring up how they are feeling. Totally normal. Just part of it. You are doing great. That might be well-meaning, but it does not help you sleep or walk without hurting. Your body is doing something remarkable right now, but remarkable does not mean painful has to be your baseline. If this sounds familiar, it is worth a visit.

Pain while walking
Your back or pelvis hurts when you walk, stand, climb stairs, or try to find a comfortable spot at night.

Fear of Tearing
You cannot stop thinking about pushing and what the recovery side of delivery is actually going to look like.

Safe Workouts
You want to stay active, but have not gotten a straight answer on what your body can still handle.

Urinary Leaking
You leak when you sneeze, laugh, cough, or do anything that takes any real effort.

Pregnancy Changes Your Body. Pain Shouldn’t Take Over
Many women are told that back pain, pelvic pressure, or leaking are “normal.” We are here to tell you: Common does not mean Normal. Do any of these sound familiar?

Pain while walking
Lower back or pelvic pain that slows you down.

Fear of Tearing
Anxiety about birth injuries or recovery.

Safe Workouts
Unsure what exercises are safe for
baby.

Urinary Leaking
Whether it’s sneezing or laughing—leaking
shouldn’t hold you back.
Straight Answers and Care That Puts You First
We listen before we do anything else. We look at what your body is managing right now, not a general version of pregnancy. Some women come in because pain has started affecting their day. Some want to feel less in the dark going into labor. Some are trying to keep exercising without something going wrong every time. We figure out what matters most to you and work from there.
Support for Every Stage of Pregnancy

Prenatal Wellness
Some women feel it in their back. Some in their hips or pelvis. Some just feel like they are carrying a weight through the middle of the day that never really lets up. We help you stay active in ways that make sense for your body right now, not a plan built around someone else’s pregnancy.

Birth Preparation
Labor is hard and it tends to surprise people. We work on breathing, pushing, and positions that may help your body do what it needs to do. No promises on how it goes. But knowing something going in beats knowing nothing.

Postpartum Planning
The baby gets most of the planning. Recovery tends to get improvised, and those first weeks can be genuinely rough. We help you think through how to move without wearing yourself down and what to watch for if something does not feel right after birth.

YOU HAVE QUESTIONS. WE HAVE ANSWERS
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I come in if I have not told my OB yet?
Yes. You do not need your OB’s sign-off to be seen. That said, keeping your care team in the loop is usually a good idea and we are happy to help with that.
What if I had had a miscarriage before this pregnancy?
Tell us when you call. It helps us understand your situation going in and make sure the first visit feels right for where you are.
I am having twins. Can you still help?
Yes. Twin pregnancies put more demand on your body and that shows up in a lot of ways. We work with what your body is actually dealing with regardless of how many babies are in there.
What if I am nervous about being examined while pregnant?
That is a pretty common feeling. Nothing happens at the first visit without you being on board. We move at whatever pace feels okay for you.
How long does a typical visit take?
Most visits run between 45 minutes and an hour. The first one usually takes a little longer because we spend more time understanding your history and what is going on day to day.
