Feel Like Yourself Again

After Birth

You figured recovery would take a while. What you did not count on was still feeling off months later with no real explanation. You brace yourself before you sneeze. Getting up off the floor takes thought. Something in your middle just does not engage the way it used to. At Modern Medicine of Tucson, AZ, we help you figure out what has not come back and do something about it.

Common Postpartum Problems You Shouldn’t Ignore

A lot of this gets absorbed into daily life. Your body is still sending signals and most women have just stopped expecting anyone to take them seriously.

Diastasis Recti

That “mummy tummy” that stays no matter what you try. A softness or ridge down the middle that shows up when you use your core and does not budge.

Painful Intimacy

Sex has not felt right since birth and most women just quietly work around it. Something can actually be done about it.

Leakage & Urgency

You scope out bathrooms when you get somewhere new. You brace when you sneeze. That is not just postpartum life.

Common Postpartum Problems You Shouldn’t Ignore

Postpartum recovery isn’t just about waiting 6 weeks. It’s about addressing the signals your body is sending.

Diastasis Recti

That “mummy tummy” or doming in your midline that doesn’t seem to go away with regular crunches.

Painful Intimacy

Pain during intercourse is common postpartum but should not be your new normal. We address the root cause.

Leakage & Urgency

Whether it’s jumping, laughing, or running to the bathroom—leaking shouldn’t hold you back.

How We Help You Recover

First visit is not about handing you a plan. It is about figuring out how your body is actually working right now. How you breathe, how you hold yourself, what a regular day asks of you. Everything builds from that.

Full Assessment

Diastasis, pelvic floor function, scar tissue. We check it all and tell you what we are finding.

Customized Rehab

Built around what is actually going on. Not a standard protocol that treats every recovery the same.

Return to Sport

A steady build back to whatever you want to get back to.

Postpartum Services That Support Real Recovery

C-Section Recovery

Tightness or numbness around the scar that has been there so long you stopped noticing it. That area responds well to direct work and most women wish they had started sooner.

Core Integration

When your deep core and pelvic floor stop working together, your back and hips fill in. That is usually where the new aches are coming from.

Body Mechanics

How you pick the baby up, how you feed, how you carry things through the house thirty times a day. That is usually where the strain is hiding.

YOU HAVE QUESTIONS. WE HAVE ANSWERS

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What if I had a serious complication during delivery?
Call before booking. We want to know the full picture before you come in, so the first visit is set up right.
I never really recovered from my last pregnancy and now I am postpartum again. Where do we start?
Right where you are. The assessment tells us what is actually going on and we work from there. The history does not have to be sorted out first.
Painful intimacy has been going on so long that I have just stopped trying. Is it too late?
No. Pain with intimacy after birth is not permanent. It comes up more than people admit and there is real work that can be done.
I am a few years out, but I just started having new symptoms. Does that make sense?
It can. Hormonal shifts, a new workout, stress, another pregnancy. Something changed and that is worth looking into properly.
What if I have been told my symptoms are just anxiety?
Get a physical assessment anyway. Pelvic floor issues have real physical causes and symptoms that get written off sometimes have a structural reason behind them.
