OVERVIEW
Right after surgery, most people try to be “good patients.” They rest. They ice. They follow the sheet they were sent home with. Then real life shows up. Post-op rehab is there for that messy middle part. We help calm swelling, get motion back without forcing it, and rebuild strength that drops off fast when you protect one side. We also pay attention to the sneaky habits people pick up when they are guarding the area. Limping so you do not have to bend. Leaning to the good side without thinking. Turning the foot out. Clenching your stomach. Holding your breath every time you stand. Those habits can stick around long after the incision looks healed, and then your back, hips, or neck start complaining. Rehab keeps you moving forward while staying inside the rules your surgeon se

In the early phase, visits are usually closer together because stiffness and swelling can stack up fast. As you move better and recover well between sessions, visits often spread out.
DIAGNOSE
EXAM & IMAGING
We start with your restrictions so we do not guess or push the wrong thing. We check swelling, motion, and muscle control, then watch how you handle basics like walking, stairs, and standing from a chair.
TREATMENTS
CUSTOM TREATMENT PROGRAM
We start small on purpose, because early progress is about control, not intensity. Treatment may include gentle motion, light strengthening, and coaching for braces or slings, stairs, and everyday set-ups like getting into the car or finding a sleep position that works.
FOLLOW UP
WE CALL TO CHECK IN
We pay attention to what happens after you leave, including that next morning check. If a grocery run or a longer car ride makes swelling jump, we adjust and talk pacing so you do not get trapped in a flare cycle.

Office was very welcoming from the moment you walked into the office, Marissa and Kelsey were there to greet me. They know all of their patients and treat them like family. Dr. Dault was AMAZING. SHE listened and really searched to find the answers to my pain. Eric was very thorough when doing my ultrasound to diagnose my issue. Their recommendations helped me and in the end my pain decreased! Thank you to the entire team!

I was in a pretty dark place before starting at the Chandler location. My low back pain was completely debilitating and affecting the quality of my life for many years. I saw Phil once a week for 6 weeks and feel stronger and more confident than I have in many, many years. Phil explained the results of my MRI in great detail and answered my questions (as trivial as they might have been) with respect and understanding... I have been to many physical therapists before and the results I got here were the best. I highly recommend the Chandler location and will go back again if I ever need to!

What Are You Experiencing?
You might not know what treatment you need, as most people don’t. What you do know is that something hurts. That’s enough for us to start. Fill out this quick form and just tell us how it feels. We’ll look it over and reach out to talk through what could be going on and what might help.
LOW HIGH
SEVERE PAIN
If your pain feels like too much to handle, please don’t wait around. Call 911 or get to the nearest hospital. Once the emergency part is taken care of, we’ll be here to help you with longer-term support.
MODERATE PAIN / DISCOMFORT
Maybe it’s not stopping you from getting through the day, but it’s always there feeling sharp, dull, or just plain annoying. Let us know what it feels like. We’ll work with you to figure out why it’s happening and how to make things easier.
MINOR PAINS & ACHES
A little soreness or stiffness might not sound like much, but it can still mess with your day. Those small aches are often your body’s way of saying something needs attention. Tell us what you’ve been noticing, and we’ll help keep it from turning into something worse.

Answering Your Questions
What if I feel better than I expected, can I speed things up?
It is normal to want to move faster when pain improves. The tricky part is that tissue healing and strength do not improve at the same pace. You can feel “pretty good” and still be at risk for doing too much.
Why does swelling show up later, not during the activity?
Swelling can lag behind what you did. You may feel okay during a walk, then notice puffiness that evening or the next morning. That does not always mean you harmed anything, but it does mean the load was high for your current phase.
What should I do if I keep walking differently even when it doesn’t hurt much?
A limp can turn into a habit. Sometimes it’s weakness. Sometimes it’s stiffness. Sometimes it’s just your brain staying cautious. We work on mechanics and control, then build strength so you walk normally when you are tired, not only when you first stand up.
How do I know if I’m pushing too hard at home?
Look at the next day. If you wake up more swollen, more stiff, or more sore and it does not settle within a day or two, you likely did too much. A common trap is feeling decent, doing a bunch of chores, then spending two days trying to calm things down again.
When should I stop and call the surgeon?
Call if you notice new drainage, increasing redness or warmth, fever, calf pain with swelling, or a sudden change that feels out of proportion. Those are not normal “rehab soreness” issues. They need medical guidance.
"Our goal is to help you solve some of your most painful life experiences."
