Common Postpartum Problems You Shouldn’t Ignore

Recovery is more than waiting until the six-week check and hoping things feel normal again. Your body sends signals through every stage of it. Some of those signals are telling you something has not fully come back online yet.

Diastasis Recti

That belly pooch won’t go away, no matter how many situps you do.

Painful Intimacy

Sex hurts in ways it did not before. It is common after birth, but common does not mean permanent.

Leakage & Urgency

Leaking when you jump, laugh, or rush to the bathroom is not just something you live with now. It is worth addressing.

Common Postpartum Problems You Shouldn’t Ignore

Postpartum recovery isn’t just about waiting 6 weeks. It’s about addressing the signals your body is sending.

Diastasis Recti

That “mummy tummy” or doming in your midline that doesn’t seem to go away with regular crunches.

Painful Intimacy

Pain during intercourse is common postpartum but should not be your new normal. We address the root cause.

Leakage & Urgency

Whether it’s jumping, laughing, or running to the bathroom—leaking shouldn’t hold you back.

How We Help You Recover

We do not hand you a sheet of exercises and send you out the door. We look at how you breathe, how you stand, and how you pick up the baby twenty times a day. If recovery does not fit your real life, it does not last.

Full Assessment

We check for diastasis, pelvic floor strength, and how well your scar tissue is healing.

Customized Rehab

A plan that fills the gap between being cleared for activity and actually feeling ready to run, lift, or work out again.

Return to Sport

A real progression back to whatever you were doing before the baby. Running, lifting, yoga, whatever it was.

Postpartum Services That Support Real Recovery

C-Section Recovery

Scar mobilization and desensitization work that helps with tightness, pulling, and that numb or strange feeling around the incision that can stick around longer than you expected.

Core Integration

Getting your back, hips, and organs the support they need with deep core and pelvic floor to work.

Body Mechanics

Hands-on coaching for feeding posture, babywearing, and hauling car seats and strollers without wrecking your back.

YOU HAVE QUESTIONS. WE HAVE ANSWERS

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How soon after giving birth can I come in?

For most women, they start booking appointments around the six-week mark, but there are situations where earlier makes sense. Call us, and we can figure out the right timing for where you are.

What if my delivery was traumatic?

Tell us when you call. It helps us set up the first visit in a way that feels right for you. We go at your pace and explain everything before anything happens.

What if I have been leaking for years?

Leaking is not something you have to just live with. A lot of women come in years after their last birth and see real improvement.

What if I am also planning another pregnancy?

Good time to come in. Getting your body in a better place before the next pregnancy can make a big difference in how you feel during and after.

Do I need to be done breastfeeding before coming in?

Not at all. Breastfeeding does not change whether you can be seen. If posture or positioning during feeding is part of what is bothering you, we can actually work on that, too.
