You’re Not Alone

Pelvic floor symptoms show up at every stage of life. After pregnancy. After surgery. During menopause. Sometimes with no obvious reason at all. Many women stay quiet and start doing little workarounds, bathroom mapping, pads in the bag, skipping certain exercises, bracing through the day. At Modern Medicine, we start with listening and straight answers. Then we build care around what is actually driving your symptoms so you can stop guessing.

THE ROADMAP

A Clear Way Forward

Simple care from day one, with steps that make sense.

01

Evaluate And Understand

WE LISTEN FIRST

Your first visit focuses on your symptoms and your goals, in your words. We also assess how your pelvic floor works with breathing, posture, hips, and core, since those pieces often explain why symptoms keep showing up.

02

Get A Personalized Plan

FIT FOR YOU

Your plan targets coordination, strength, and control based on your triggers and your daily routine. We focus on the root driver so you can move through the day with fewer surprises and more confidence.

03

Restore Strength

RETURN TO NORMAL ROUTINES

Care builds week by week in a way that feels doable. Many women notice early wins, then keep building toward lifting, exercise, and daily movement that feels steadier and more comfortable.

WE HANDLE THE PAPERWORK FOR YOU

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can this help if I feel pain when I walk or bend?

Yes. Your pelvic floor works with your hips and low back, so when things are off, even simple movements can feel sharp or tight. Therapy helps restore control so walking, bending, and getting up and down feels easier.

Will I be sore after sessions?

Sometimes you’ll feel a little “worked,” like your muscles woke up. It should feel more like mild fatigue than pain, and most people leave feeling looser, not worse.

Can it help after pelvic or abdominal surgery?

Yes. Surgery can change how muscles fire and how scars move, which can limit comfort and motion. Therapy helps you rebuild coordination and flexibility in a safe, steady way.

What if I feel anxious about starting?

That’s really common. It’s private, everything is explained before it happens, and you stay in control, start to finish.

Do I need a referral?

Usually no, you can book directly with Modern Medicine Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine of Mesa, AZ. If your insurance needs one, the front desk can check and walk you through it.
