OVERVIEW
ABOUT SPINAL & DISC REHABILITATION
Spinal and disc rehabilitation is the treatment for patients whose back or neck issues seem to never quite go away. For others, it is a dull ache that lingers after sitting for too long. Others experience sharp pain shooting down the leg when flexing or turning. There is pressure on the neck that makes it difficult to turn the head over the shoulder. At our Tucson clinic, therapists zero in on why the spine is suffering. Weak muscles that fail to offer adequate support. Stiff joints that limit movement. Discs that inflame and bother the nerves. The plan is individual to the patient. Strengthening may be part of it. Stretching may be part. Mobility drills may be part of it. Hands-on therapy may be part. Patients may improve rapidly. Patients may improve slowly. Consistent effort often regains ease in getting around without the fear of pain.

Office was very welcoming from the moment you walked into the office, Marissa and Kelsey were there to greet me. They know all of their patients and treat them like family. Dr. Dault was AMAZING. SHE listened and really searched to find the answers to my pain. Eric was very thorough when doing my ultrasound to diagnose my issue. Their recommendations helped me and in the end my pain decreased! Thank you to the entire team!

I was in a pretty dark place before starting at the Chandler location. My low back pain was completely debilitating and affecting the quality of my life for many years. I saw Phil once a week for 6 weeks and feel stronger and more confident than I have in many, many years. Phil explained the results of my MRI in great detail and answered my questions (as trivial as they might have been) with respect and understanding... I have been to many physical therapists before and the results I got here were the best. I highly recommend the Chandler location and will go back again if I ever need to!

Where do I start with the praise for this Team of miracle workers... I had suffered from chronic lower back pain for the last 8 years due to 32 years of golf and upper back pain due to 13 years of sitting at a desk. I utilized a chiropractor for the past 7 years but the pain ALWAYS came back and I NEVER got better. One visit with Dr. Josh and two X-rays showed the problem was stemming from my foot and a collapsing arch—which my previous chiropractor NEVER took the time to explore and diagnose.

Answering Your Questions
Which conditions are most often treated using spinal and disc rehab?
The therapy is effective for patients with bulging or herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, and sciatica. A few present to the clinic complaining about stiffness becoming chronic over the years of sitting, and the therapy will reconstruct the motion that the patient feels is lacking.
Does spinal rehab only work for severe pain?
No. Many patients present before the pain gets too intense. Dealing with the issue early may avert its exacerbation and limit the possibility of permanent harm. Mild pain is already an indication that the spine requires care.
What happens during the first few visits?
Early sessions are gentle movement and basic strengthening. This allows therapists to assess the spine’s response and fine-tune the plan. As the body stabilizes and strengthens over the long term, the plan is updated with stronger exercises.
How can rehab help with nerve pain like sciatica?
Therapy minimizes irritability by enhancing movement and decreasing strain near the disc and nerve. Strengthening stabilizing muscles also serves to minimize flare-ups. Patients tend to experience less tingling and greater comfort when participating in daily activities.
Is spinal rehab safe for people with osteoporosis or other conditions?
Yes. Sessions are adapted to comfort level and medical history. Patients whose bones or other conditions are brittle would have therapy tailored to safe strengthening and movement drills. Progression without risk is the goal, and care is adapted at each step.
"Our goal is to help you solve some of your most painful life experiences."
