OVERVIEW
You rarely think about your body when everything works. You grab your keys, lift a basket, reach for a shelf, and get through the day. When pain, stiffness, or weakness shows up, those normal moves can feel stressful. You might switch sides, move slower, or skip a task because it sets you off.
Over time, those workarounds can pile up. Your grip may fade, your shoulder may tighten, or your balance may feel shaky when you turn. You may start planning your day around what feels safe. Occupational therapy helps you keep your routines with less pain and better control. At our Mesa clinic, we keep care tied to real life, like dressing, cooking, driving, work tasks, and moving around your home.
BOOKING APPOINTMENTS
Call the clinic or schedule online using our form. We will explain the first visit and what to bring. Bring any brace, splint, or mobility aid you already use, even if it never felt right.

Most people begin with one to two visits each week. Early visits calm symptoms and restore basic movement, then later visits build stamina and comfort during real tasks.
DIAGNOSE
EXAM & IMAGING
We start with what feels hardest right now, like showering, typing, cooking, or lifting at work. Then we check motion, strength, coordination, balance, and how you move during the tasks that bring on symptoms.
TREATMENTS
CUSTOM TREATMENT PROGRAM
We build your plan around what you need to do each day at home and work. Sessions can include strength and mobility work, task practice, pacing habits, and simple supports like braces, taping, reachers, or setup changes.

This place is great! They offer ultrasound to diagnose. After my ultrasound they set me up with a plan to get better. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable! Highly recommend going here!

I had awesome physical therapy at Modern PT. After tearing my bicep tendon, I needed help and I got it. It is easy to schedule appointments and always on time. Amber, scheduling, Taylor, PT and Nathan…

Modern Physical therapy helped me so much and I would recommend them to anyone who needs Physical therapy. I had a sharp pain in my right hip. The first visit, after having a detailed conversation and assessment, including an ultrasound to really see what the problem is, Brianne was able to focus on the exact area. I had 12 sessions and I am feeling so much better. My right hip doesn’t have the sharp pain it had previously. She gave me a home exercise program to continue doing on my own so I can continue strengthening the muscles I need to so this problem doesn’t happen again. The staff is so kind and friendly – I always felt comfortable there and cared about!

What Are You Experiencing?
Pain is difficult to articulate, and you don’t need to have the “right” words. Just tell us how you have been feeling it. Use the brief form to tell us in your own words like sharp, dull, or won’t stop. We will then contact you so that we can talk a little bit about what might be happening and how we may be able to help.
LOW HIGH
SEVERE PAIN
If the pain is intolerable, don’t wait. Call 911 or go straight to the hospital. Safety is foremost. Then, after addressing that, we’ll be able to assist you in the next steps toward comfort.
MODERATE PAIN / DISCOMFORT
This kind of pain is not going to keep you from doing things, but it makes daily life difficult. Maybe it hits in bursts, maybe it is always there. Attribute it to the best of your ability. That’s all we need in order to start to understand what is happening.
MINOR PAINS & ACHES
Even small aches matter. That morning stiffness in your lower back, muscle aches in your legs after a day, or that pesky spot you’ve been ignoring. Those are things we want to talk about. Tell us what you’ve been feeling, and we’ll do our best to get ahead of it.
