OVERVIEW
ABOUT PHYSICAL THERAPY
Physical therapy is not just about getting out of pain. It is about getting back to the version of daily life that pain quietly edited without asking.
Carrying groceries from the car without the shoulder complaining. Getting up from a chair without the knee making it a production. Driving across town without arriving stiff and sore. These are the things Oro Valley patients notice changing first. Not clinical measurements but ordinary moments that started working again.
No two plans look the same. Someone six weeks out of hip replacement surgery is starting from a completely different place than someone who has been managing chronic neck pain through a demanding desk job for three years. Some patients progress quickly. Others need more time and a slower build. The plan follows what the body can actually handle.
BOOKING APPOINTMENTS
Call to speak with someone directly or book online when that works better. The team confirms the visit and walks through what to expect before the first appointment, so nothing about showing up feels uncertain.

SCHEDULE
REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT
Most patients come in weekly. At Modern Medicine of Oro Valley, AZ, that schedule gives the body time to adapt between sessions without losing the momentum that keeps progress building.
DIAGNOSE
EXAM & IMAGING
Your therapist looks at how you move, asks about the history, and works out where symptoms are actually coming from. Not a starting assumption based on the location of pain, but a specific picture of what is driving it and why it has not resolved on its own.
TREATMENTS
CUSTOM TREATMENT PROGRAM
Manual therapy, targeted exercise, soft tissue work, dry needling. What gets used depends entirely on what the assessment found. Each session gets adjusted based on how the body responded since the last visit, rather than following a plan that never changes regardless of what is actually happening.
FOLLOW UP
WE CALL TO CHECK IN
Progress gets tracked and the plan shifts as things improve. Sessions stay focused on what still needs attention rather than repeating work the body finished weeks ago.

Office was very welcoming from the moment you walked into the office, Marissa and Kelsey were there to greet me. They know all of their patients and treat them like family. Dr. Dault was AMAZING. SHE listened and really searched to find the answers to my pain. Eric was very thorough when doing my ultrasound to diagnose my issue. Their recommendations helped me and in the end my pain decreased! Thank you to the entire team!

I was in a pretty dark place before starting at the Chandler location. My low back pain was completely debilitating and affecting the quality of my life for many years. I saw Phil once a week for 6 weeks and feel stronger and more confident than I have in many, many years. Phil explained the results of my MRI in great detail and answered my questions (as trivial as they might have been) with respect and understanding... I have been to many physical therapists before and the results I got here were the best. I highly recommend the Chandler location and will go back again if I ever need to!

Where do I start with the praise for this Team of miracle workers... I had suffered from chronic lower back pain for the last 8 years due to 32 years of golf and upper back pain due to 13 years of sitting at a desk. I utilized a chiropractor for the past 7 years but the pain ALWAYS came back and I NEVER got better. One visit with Dr. Josh and two X-rays showed the problem was stemming from my foot and a collapsing arch—which my previous chiropractor NEVER took the time to explore and diagnose.

What Are You Experiencing?
Most people know something is off before they know what to call it. Just describe what daily life actually feels like right now and the team will follow up, talk through what might be driving it, and discuss what a realistic path looks like.
LOW HIGH
SEVERE PAIN
Sudden and extreme pain that is stopping you from functioning needs immediate attention. Call 911 or go straight to a hospital. Only once the situation is handled can the team help with what recovery looks like after.
MODERATE PAIN / DISCOMFORT
Pain that gets in the way without completely shutting the day down. Builds through a long shift, shows up during certain movements, or just sits there in the background. Share what is going on and the team will work through what is likely behind it.
MINOR PAINS & ACHES
Do you have a hip that tightens up on longer hikes but feels fine otherwise? A wrist that aches after racket sports and takes a day to settle? These so-called “minor” issues can start off small, and then become bigger when left unaddressed.

Answering Your Questions
Who typically comes in for physical therapy at this location?
Honestly, the range is pretty wide. Athletes, desk workers, retirees, and people who just want to get back to hiking without the knee being the story every time. The plan gets built around whoever walks in.
Does therapy actually work for pain that has been there a long time?
What if I have tried therapy before and it did not help?
Worth looking at why. Sometimes the previous care was not specific enough to what was actually causing the problem. A plan built around a proper assessment of what is driving symptoms tends to produce different results than a generic program that treats the diagnosis rather than the person.
How do I know if what I am feeling is serious enough to come in?
If it is changing how you move, interrupting sleep, or making you plan around it then it is worth getting looked at. Waiting until it gets worse rarely makes things easier to address.
Will I be doing the same exercises every session?
No. Each session adjusts based on how the body responded since the last visit. What gets worked on follows where things actually are, not a fixed program written on day one that never gets questioned.
"Our goal is to help you solve some of your most painful life experiences."
