Feel More Supported and Prepared
During Pregnancy
Pregnancy has its own timeline and it does not ask for your input. Your hips start aching before you expected them to. You figure out which side you can sleep on and then that stops working too. A walk around the neighborhood leaves your pelvis sore in ways that catch you off guard. At Modern Medicine of Sun Lakes, AZ, we help you sort through what is going on and figure out what to do about it.

Pregnancy Changes Your Body. Pain Should Not Run The Show
Most women bring up symptoms and get the same thing back. “That is just pregnancy. Everybody goes through it. Hang in there.” That answer does not help you get off the couch without it hurting or make it through a full night of sleep. Your body is doing a lot right now, but that is not a reason to write off months of pain as something you just absorb.

Pain while walking
Your back or pelvis hurts when you walk, stand for any stretch of time, take the stairs, or try to get comfortable at night.

Fear of Tearing
You keep thinking about pushing and what the recovery side of delivery is actually going to feel like.

Safe Workouts
You want to stay active but cannot get a straight answer on what your body can still handle right now.

Urinary Leaking
You leak when you sneeze, laugh, cough, or do anything that takes effort.

Pregnancy Changes Your Body. Pain Shouldn’t Take Over
Many women are told that back pain, pelvic pressure, or leaking are “normal.” We are here to tell you: Common does not mean Normal. Do any of these sound familiar?

Pain while walking
Lower back or pelvic pain that slows you down.

Fear of Tearing
Anxiety about birth injuries or recovery.

Safe Workouts
Unsure what exercises are safe for
baby.

Urinary Leaking
Whether it’s sneezing or laughing—leaking
shouldn’t hold you back.
Straight Answers and Care That Puts You First
We listen before we do anything else. We look at what your body is actually managing right now. Some women come in because getting through daily tasks has become painful. Some want to feel less unprepared going into labor. Some are just trying to keep moving without something going sideways. We find out what matters most and start there.
Support for Every Stage of Pregnancy

Prenatal Wellness
It does not look the same for everyone. Some women feel it in their back. Some in their hips or pelvis. Some just feel worn down and heavy by midmorning and it stays that way. Pregnancy changes how your body carries weight and handles pressure and that shows up differently week to week.

Birth Preparation
Labor is demanding in ways most people do not fully anticipate. We work on breathing, pushing, and positions that may help your body do what it needs to do. No guarantees on how delivery goes. But walking in with some preparation is a different experience than walking in with none.

Postpartum Planning
The baby gets most of the planning. Recovery tends to happen on the fly and those first weeks have a way of being harder than people expected. We help you think through how to move with less strain and what to watch for if something feels off after birth.

YOU HAVE QUESTIONS. WE HAVE ANSWERS
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is this only for women who are having their first baby?
Not at all. Second and third pregnancies come with their own set of issues and sometimes more of them. Your body responds differently each time and that is worth paying attention to.
What if I have been managing with just rest and it is not really helping?
That is actually a pretty common reason people come in. Rest helps some things and does nothing for others. If you have been waiting it out and not getting anywhere, it is time to try something else.
I am in my third trimester. Is it too late to start?
No. There is still a lot that can be addressed and improved in the third trimester. Birth prep alone is worth coming in for, even if you are close to your due date.
What if I have been told everything looks fine at my OB appointments, but I still feel off?
That happens more than people expect because your OB is checking on the baby and your overall health. How your body is moving and handling daily life is a different thing entirely and worth looking at separately.
Do I need to bring anything to the first visit?
Just wear something comfortable that you can move in. If you have any imaging or notes from your OB, bring those along. Otherwise, we will take care of the rest.
